The normal delivery guy was on vacation this week, and the replacement driver showed up 3 hours late. It made for a nice, relaxing morning, and a crazy stressful afternoon.
The customers were all very strange today too. One woman referred to her 4-year-old as "Piggy" and first called her child a 'he' and then later a 'she'. That kid is going to be messed up when he/she gets older.
Then to top it all off my boss calls me and another coworker into the office. He sits my coworker down and then tells me I'm there as a witness to the conversation. He basically tears her to pieces for 15 minutes, calls her a liar, threatens to fire her, screaming ensues, etc., and all the while I'm standing in the corner having to be a "witness" to this. As soon as he had said everything he wanted to say, my boss gets up and decides to leave for the day. My coworker then starts crying hysterically and I'm left to console her and pick up the pieces. Totally uncomfortable situation all around.
I really wish I had tomorrow off. I haven't ended up having a day off since last Thursday, and my next day off is Tuesday. That's 13 days in a row. My boss already tried to guilt me into working next Tuesday too, but they have over 60 employees, so I think it's time they rely on someone else for a change.
