Flashbacks...

I had a very random flashback today while driving into town... it was 3rd grade. Mrs. Brunette's classroom. Around 1:30 pm. Show and tell was in full swing. Big item of the day was Weird Al Yankovic's album "Bad Hair Day." The song was Amish Paradise. There were 3 students that had chosen to play that song as their show and tell item. One of those students was me. The only stipulation was that you had to turn down the volume when it said "hell" and then you could turn it back up. First 2 students aced this part. My turn next. Everybody's "rapping" along and all of a sudden it's up to me to turn down the music...my hand gets there 2 seconds too late and the whole class hears the H word, which i'm sure none of them had ever heard before in their life. Right. Mrs. B's staring me down while the whole class is erupting in "oohs" and "whoa's" and laughter. I had to sit out in the hall the rest of the school day, and I wasn't allowed to bring my Weird Al cassette to school anymore.
